Three for the Guys!

Post 11.
I thought I'd do a 3 for 1 today as foreign climates are beckoning and I won't be posting for a couple of weeks.
I've had a few 'male' birthdays to do cards for in the last week so I thought I'd share.

The first card is a 30th birthday card for a cricketer.
The image is a digi stamp from Just inklined , the image has been coloured with my pro markers. The papers are from a free digi kit from Serif called 'American Holidays 2011'.
I've cut the cricketer and papers out using my Sizzix hexagon framelits dies. The 30th tag was done in Craft artist 2, and again cut out with the framelits.
The buttons are from the digi kit. I completed the card with the usual faux stitches, and a dolop of glaze to highlight the cricket ball.

Inside the card are more hexagons cut from the scraps I had left over, and the sentiment is a Lilli of theValley sentiment stamp.

This next card is the 'Game on' digi stamp from Mos digital pencil. Coloured again with pro markers.
I've gone all Kraft and blue for this one! The card is layered with kraft and coredinations card, then on plain white I've ramdomley stamped the A6 Plaid stamp from Creative Expressions, using vintage photo distress ink. I made 3 banners from my scraps, and a tag with the stamped sentiment on. To finish I've wrapped some bakers twine around the card and completed it with some card candi.
Inside are some more banners and another sentiment from Lili of the valley.

Finally a card for my nephew who shares his birthday with my son.
Can't beat Beer for a guy in his early 20's!!!! The stamps are from the Creative Expressions 'Cheers' unmouted stamp set. All the stamps, including the insert are from this stamp plate. Coloured with promarkers and all cut out, I've mounted the pints  on to  some kraft card and cut it with a spellbinders labels die. The background paper is once again from my Hot off the Press 'Cardmakers Foral Ultimate pack'.
I glazed both the main image and the little embellishments in the corner. And more faux stiches complete the card.
Hope you like todays selection.
I may manage one more post before my jollies....iron holiday clothes or craft?  there's a dilemma!!
Happy crafting.

Just a note to say....

Post 10.
Todays card  is a basic Birthday card. Although there's nothing basic about the gorgeous image from Saturated Canary called 'Boobie Love', just look at that price...how can you not buy it!!!!

The card is a 7 x 5 card, the paper I've used has once again come from the floral pack from Hot Off The Press ( it's finally starting to pay for itself!!) The image has been coloured using pro markers. I cut out a rose from the backing paper and stuck it over the ribbon on her shirt, the cut out another with a circle punch and glazed it as an embellishment.

A stamped sentiment and some obligatory faux stitching with my fine liner pen, a piece of pink ribbon and the card is complete.
Hope you like.
Happy crafting.

Orange!!!

Post 9.
Couldn't think of another title for this card...except 'Orange' hee hee!

The main image is a digi stamp called 'Daisy Patch' from Just Inklined , coloured with pro markers, and cut out using a circle spellbinder die, matted onto a blue scalloped circle. The card is an 8 x 8 card, for matting and layering I've used orange and pale blue core-dinations card, this matched perfectly with the patterned paper from Wild Rose Studio Ltd paper pack called 'Milton & Co' , I've used the 'Letter box set' from Clarity stamp for the greeting. I cut a decorative rectangle out of the orange card and wrapped some crochet ribbon around it. The paper flowers from my stash finish the card.
Inside I cut some flowers from some left over pattern paper and put them on a strip of the orange card. The greeting is matted onto more blue card.

With the mass of flowers on the card an envelope was out of the question, so I made a vellum wrap, finishing it of with a co-ordinated decorative strip and another stamped greeting, this stamp was from a sheet of stamps 'Sensational Sentiments'  by Polkadoodles.
Hope you like.
Happy crafting.

With Sympathy

Post 8.
Always a tough card to make and I , unfortunately had 3 to do this week.
I thought I'd share these if only to inspire someone out there when faced with making a Sympathy card.

Kraft card has been used as the base, with a matt of black then more kraft. At the side I stamped the 'Leafy swirl' from Clarity stamps, in versamark, and left it to dry. I put some crochet ribbon across the card. The sentiment was from a Hot off the Press paper pad called 'Cardmakers Floral ultimate pack', the accompaning sentiment was matted and put inside. The sentiment was the embellished with a variety of brown and cream paper flowers.

The second card is made , again with Clarity stamps 'Floral crook'  I used 'Distress Markers' to colour the flower and leaves in subtle calm colours to co-ordinate with the chosen card  matting  the main image. The base of the crook extended across the card with a fine line pen and the sentiment stamped along the line.
The card was finished off with self adhesive pearls at the bottom right and top right of the card, just to balance it out.

The final card is a simple swirl stamp embossed in  white (meant to use clear powder but hey ho I went with it!) The flowers were also stamped with the swirl the cut from a spellbinders blossom die. I then cut into the flowers to add a little dimension, and a pearl finshed the flower. The whole image is on a lovely green core-dinations card matted on black and white.

Inside the swirl was used again just down one side of the insert, and a message matted onto more green card.
If these have inspired just one person out there when faced with making a sympathy card then I very happy.
Hope you liked todays cards.
Happy crafting .

Gabbing with the Girls....

Post 7.
Wow! 2  posts in a week, the heat must be getting to me! The same image as the last post but with very different colours. Todays' card, I thought ideal for entering 'Mo's Challenge', and also a darn good card for any girlie girl out there.

The backing paper is is from Hot Off The Press, it was in a huge paper pad called 'Cardmaker's Floral Ultimate pack',I bought it donkeys years ago from QVC when I was very much new to paper crafting. I love the colours in the paper. It's matted onto some Kraft card then mounted on to a 5 x 7 tent fold card.
The image is coloured with Promarkers. I cut some of the Kraft card using Spellbinders 'Labels 4' the chopped to to make the tab on the side of the image.
The card is embellished with 'Card Candi', I didn't have the right colours, so I just coloured some cream candi with co-ordinating pro markers. The crochet ribbon and blue knotted ribbon add a little texture and detail. The sentiment both inside and outside the card are from Lili of  the valley.
Finally the insert of my card, I had a strip of paper that wasn't quite long enough, so I increased its length by adding some of the backing paper to one end, the insert was then folded and the cut with another spellbinder die. The card and insert had to have faux stitching drawn in to finish, gotta have my faux stitches at the moment!!!
Hope you like.
Happy Crafting.
