Silver Wedding Anniversary.

Post 79
I'm never far away from weddings or anniversarys at the moment!!!
Today's card is a Silver Anniversary card.
I started with a snow white silver centura pearl base (8x8), I had a thin mat of more centura pearl, then some silver grey card I've had in my stash for years.
I cut out the 'Lattice heart' striplet die, by Sue Wilson. The lattice in the centura pearl, and the solid in the grey card. And mounted one on top of the other, then made an L shape with these two pieces in the bottom corner.

In the top corner I printed the words then cut them out with the spellbinders Labels 25, and made a frame using the same labels and some more centura pearl.

The corner was decorated using flowers from Wild Orchid crafts.

And the card was finished off with some self adhesive gems in the corners and under the wording.

As usual a box was required. Decorated in the same silver grey, with some more heart lattice striplet. And to finish off a 'Celebrate' stamp from Just Rites clear stamp set...'Celebration labels 1', then cut out with the Sizzix Sassy label die.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.
Any comments are appreciated.

More Lego....

Post 78
Same recipient....different card.
Like yesterday, here's another lego based birthday card. The main lego image came from Pinterest... a free download HERE. I coloured him with my alcohol markers, added the face and the number on his jumper, and used glossy accents on his hands and face. The wording was printed from my computer and stuck flat or with foam pads.

To finish off, some card lego, and a little doodling around the edges.
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

Love of Lego!!

Post 77
Todays card is for a Lego addict!!! His wedding cake was large lego bricks!!!
So even though he's turning 30....lego HAD to be the theme! I had a look around Pinterest for ideas and I came up with this card. The bricks are squares of card stock with circles stuck on , using foams pads for dimension.

The greeting was printed off my computer , then coloured using my promarkers. The background has been put through my Big Shot in the swiss dots embossing folder from provocraft.

And as a finishing touch the lego figure was out of my sons toy box, cash negotiations were necessary!!!!
Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.

A simple gift.

Post 76

Today I've got a little gift to share with you. I bought a bottle of lovelyness for my sister and didn't want to wrap it in the usual way....which always looks dreadful!. So I made the large label for the bottle, then I thought it didn't look like much of a gift so I made a little box and filled it with some tealights.

The base card I used for these was some crafters companion kraft card , I used paper from Craftworks  cards, called 'Correspondence', all the paper was distress around the edges with Vintage photo distress ink. I stamped and punched out some flowers, using the Petite petals stamps and punch from Stampin up. The large label is a sizzix die called 'Sassy labels'. I stamped the greeting, from the 'Through the rain' stamp set by Sheena Douglass, in vintage photo ink, and decorated it with the petite flowers.

The box was made with all the same ingredients. I can't claim the design of the box....this is thanks to Sam at Pootles.co.uk, shes done a fabulous video tutorial on you tube just follow this LINK

The 'Happy birthday' stamp and label punch both came from Stampin up, the stamps are called 'Label Love' and the co ordinating punch is the 'Artisan Punch'.

Hope you like todays project.
Happy crafting.
Please leave a comment, it's much appreciated.

Another Wedding card !!!!!!

Post 75

Haven't been around much lately...sorry guys, I've had a distinct lack of mojo going on and in turn I couldn't crack on to share this, the last card I made...nearly a month ago!!!.
Happy days the mojo has returned and the stash is creeping out of the cupboards again. Hope you like this card.

The Wedding was on the 12th, the recipients have their card....I can now share it with you!!

My Aunt, for whom I made the card. Had seen a simple card with a  topiary tree, on Pinterest and asked if I could do something like it!!! Well, I went digging through all dies, and punches ,as I knew my cutting abilities wouldn't stretch to this in a million years. I came up empty. Then I joined Stampin up as a birthday present and the first thing in my basket was this punch and stamp set Petite petals, it was perfect for this cards and many more in the future , I'm sure!!!

I started with a circle to work from, I stamped and embossed quite a few flowers, punched them out and attached them to the circle. This looked nice but it missed something. So I stared again. This time I cut out 2 circles, one slightly smaller than the other, so I could add a little dimension to it.

I printed the names and used the stampin up artisan punch to cut it out.

In the background is paper printed from a Chocolate baroque cd rom I've had ages. The grey tones were perfect for this card. I die cut the edges of the paper and the two matts with the spellbinders borderabilities....bracket borders. This was all matted onto the large base card , but it needed something else. I decided to frame the main part of the card with a grey frame.

The box just had the sentiment stamp Mr & Mrs from stamping ups 'Label love', and more petite petals.

Hope you like todays card.
Happy crafting.
